Waltham Chase MCC - Summer Series – Round 1

Sunday 4th May – 10.30

At Hut Hill, Chandlers Ford.

The Waltham Chase Summer Series will be held over six rounds, with a riders five best scores counting for the Championship. 

Awards will be presented for the first three places in each class.

For this series ACU non-stop rules TSR22B apply. The only difference from our Club Trials is you must keep moving in a forward direction whilst navigating a section - no stopping to have a think about your next move!

The sections will be marked out to suit the nonstop rules.

Debs Food Truck will be on site and will be open from 9.30.

Practice Day – Friday 16th May

We are trying something a little different. 

Our next Hut Hill Practice day will be held on Friday 14th May at Hut Hill, with the venue open from 2.00pm through to 8.00pm.

Riders can join or leave at any time. 

There will be no catering van or Toilets at this event. (Starbucks are next door in the Village Hotel)

If the Friday format works, we will run a further session, possibly during school holidays.

Twickenham MCC – “The Twickenham Trophy Trial”.

(An additional round of the ACU Southern Centre Youth Championship)

The May round of the Twickenham MCC, TVTC championship, being held on Sunday May 25th at Frensham Vale, will also be a round of the ACU Southern Centre Youth Championship.

Whilst this Trial is open to both Adult and Youth riders, Centre Championship points are only awarded to the Youth members of Southern Centre Clubs. This is an opportunity for our younger members to bank some additional points and ride at a different venue.

Waltham Chase Camping Weekend

And then at the end of May we are off to Cadnam for two days of trials riding and a camping break.

This is the “do your own thing” weekend with no organised BBQ or entertainment.

There are toilets on site, but no showers.

Tents, Campervans, Caravans are all very welcome and will be well spaced with at least 6 meters between units. 

The cost per pitch is £10.00 per night, and in line with our camping permit restrictions all camping must be booked and paid for in advance and no later than May 25th.

The “Two Trials” over the weekend are Round 2 of the Summer Series on Saturday and Round 5 of The Club Championship on the Sunday. Both Trials start at 11.00am.

As always offers to Observe are appreciated. One days Observing will pay for two nights camping!

Defibrillator

FYI – The Club have ordered a new defibrillator at a cost of £650.00. The old one is fine, but the ACU have come up with this very special price for state-of-the-art equipment which was too good to miss.

We may hold a familiarisation session at the start of a Trial to show how it works.
