Waltham Chase News Update
Round 1 of the Club Championship – Hut Hill - Sunday 25th January
We are getting there with volunteers – just two more Observers are now required. Thank you.
If you can help with observing please contact the Club via email: walthamchasetrials@outlook.com
£20.00 expenses are paid to all volunteers.
The entry for the Trial is open on Sport80 via the link: https://acu.sport80.com/public/wizard/e/206573
Debs Food Truck is confirmed and will be open early for breakfasts.
For this series we are hoping to include an Expert Route but are mindful that that Hut Hill is not really an “A Route venue.”
We are asking for an Expert rider to help with marking out. If you are an “Expert” tell us what you want and what we need to do to accommodate the class.
And please note that if you won a Club Championship Class last year, you cannot win it again this year. You can ride up a class or chose to ride the same class on a no points basis.
This rule applies to Adult Riders only.
It is important that all entrants ride in a class that they are comfortable with and keep safe.
For our named, Open to Centre Trials, you can win an award in the same class for ever – if you are really that good!
Awards Presentation – Saturday 7th February - Otterbourne Village Hall
There are limited places available for guests. All award winners will have been notified , but if you were expecting an award and not been advised please get in touch.
This is our big social event of the year, and not just a presentation – it’s also a members and family night out.
The Trials community are a sociable bunch of people, and it is great to get together with members away from the woods.
Some riders you do not recognise without their helmet and scrubbed up!

Club Technical Officials
Thanks for your input following last weeks “News.” We now have additional “Technical Officials” on board awaiting the seminar.
If this is something you would like to consider in the future please advise and we can add you to the next seminar.
First Aid Training Course
Two additional places are now available for Waltham Chase Members on an ACU funded certificated First Aid Course being held in Otterbourne on Saturday February 14th – the date rings a bell for some reason, but I can’t remember why.
The session is planned to cover situations that may occur at our events, including the use of a defibrillator.
Please contact walthamchasetrials@outlook.com if you would like to be considered for a place.
Priority will be given to Club Members or Observers who regularly attend Southern Centre Trials.
If there is sufficient demand we may plan another session later in the year.
