We are getting there; we now need just two more Observers with bikes to cover sections at the end of the valley.
Due to the venue layout, there will be three laps of twelve sections, which includes a nice “cobweb clearing” ride.

Please read these instructions before you travel and check your emails and the Club Website in case there are any last-minute changes before the Trial.
If you change class on the day, please advise all Observers.

Please do not park or ride near to the cottage adjacent to the parking field or the converted barn near the entrance which is now occupied. We need to look after the neighbours.
Some roads in the area or in poor condition; look out for potholes on your journey.
•The gates will open at 9.00 am.
• You must “Sign On” before you ride.
• There is no “Formal Briefing Session” at the start but please check the notice board for any updates.
• A “Section Map” will be displayed at the start.
• Make sure you have plenty of fuel. It’s a long ride to the far sections.
• No riding is permitted before 10.15
• From 10.15 move to the “ENTRY TO COURSE.” Sign.
• The Marshal will advise when to start and at which section
• Ride to your section and “walk the section” ready for the 10.30 am start.
• There are 3 Laps of 12 sections.
• Please ride the sections only once at each visit . (Exception for Battery Powered Youth Riders with a “Walking Minder”)
If a “Youth Minder” is walking the accompanied rider may attempt the section 4 times at one visit if necessary.
If a minder is also riding, the sections should only be attempted once at each visit to that the section.
• The route is “One-Way,” marked with “Yellow Arrows.”
• The sections will close at 3.00pm. or before if all riders have completed the sections.
• Please vacate the venue by 3.30pm
• If you are a Waltham Chase MCC Member please provide a “Number Card” for your machine, with the riding number and route colour you have been allocated.
• All non-members and any Waltham Chase members entering after 10.00am on Friday will be issued with a Rider Number and card at Sign-On.
• Your machine may not be examined, but please ensure that it is safe, all necessary protective clothing is worn, and the machine ridden is of the correct capacity for the rider.
• All machines must have either a working “cut-out button” or “lanyard cutout” fitted. Lanyards must be attached to the rider’s wrist and not wrapped around the handlebars.
• ACU rule TSR22A “Stop-Allowed” apply at this Trial.
• There are no male toilets at this venue.
• A Defibrillator, First Aid Station & Fire Extinguisher are located at “Sign On”
• First Aiders will be wearing a “Green Tabard.”
• A list of First Aiders with either their Location or Riding Number will be displayed at the start.
• Please take all rubbish away with you. There is no rubbish collection point.
• Youth Riders must always be accompanied by a responsible adult and wear the appropriate protective clothing. Arms must be always covered when riding.
• Results will be sent to all riders by email for checking before being uploaded to the Club Website.
• When refuelling an Environmental Mat must be used. A designated refuelling area is provided if no personal mat is available. The event is held on grazing land.
• The use of Power Washers is not permitted.
• A reminder that Helmet Cameras are not permitted at any ACU Trials.
As per ACU regulation ACU TSR12: Unless a helmet is manufactured with the camera as an intrinsic part, helmet cameras (including the helmet camera brackets) and cameras attached to the body are prohibited.
Cameras attached to a machine are permitted.
• Expert Class (A Route)
An Expert “A” route will not be marked for events where there are less than 5 Expert riders.
Experts are to ride the B route but will accrue points in the Expert group for any Championship.
