The George Greenland Trophy Trial
Well, that was a hot one, but despite the heat there were some impressive rides recorded today.
As always, thanks for riding with Waltham Chase and a big thankyou to all who made it happen today, the COC, plotters and the Observers.
The provisional results are now uploaded to this website. The Centre Championship Stansings will be updated later in the week
Please advise of any errors by email before Tuesday when they will be uploaded and published. The Centre Championship Standings will be updated after any corrections are made.
Our next Trial is the Alan Sansom Memorial Trial, being held at Ham Lane, Langrish on Sunday 5th July.

We may have a little problem which I will share; this is the only Waltham Chase visit planned to Ham Lane this year.
Ham Lane is a superb venue with a good variety of sections but is generally only useable in the Summer.
The Committee want to make it happen, but rider numbers are looking low.
We need a minimum of 40 riders to make it viable, including Debs Food Truck being on site.
The Grey Team are also on standby for about 8 man days prep and marking out duties.
If you are planning to ride can we ask that you enter before this Friday when we will take the call about running.
There is an “early bird entry fee” in place of £15.00 to the end of this week.
This trial is one of our Trophy Trials with awards for all classes.
If we cancel it means we have a day off, but we don’t really want that.
The bigger problem will be telling Lesley Sansom that there is no Trial for Alan this year and no awards for the family to present at the Awards Presentation!
Let’s make it happen!
The Alan Sansom Memorial Trial
Ham Lane, Langrish Sunday 5th July
Held in memory of local legend Alan Sans` who did so much for the local Trials Community. Without Alan Waltham Chase would not be riding at Ham Lane.
A donation from this Trial will be made to the Brain Tumour Charity.
Entry is via the Sport80 link: https://acu.sport80.com/public/wizard/e/207731
Further details next week.
The TrophyMan Shield
Hut Hill, Chandlers Ford on Saturday,11th July.
This is a Youth Only round of the ACU Southern Centre Trials Championship, but open to all youth riders holding ACU Trials Registration.
Points will be awarded to Southern Centre Club members, with the trophies, sponsored by “TrophyMan”, being available to all.
COC Jim Gray has enlisted the help of some suitably qualified plotters to lay out this Trial – no Grey Team for this one!
If the trial is a success, we hope that it can become a regular fixture in the Centre Calendar to help encourage our younger members and stars of the future.

The John Wright
Bunny Lane – Sherfield English on Sunday 19th July.
We have been going to Bunny Lane, or “Bryces Farm” to our more mature riders for over 40 years, a super venue with an interesting range of sections.
The Grey Team have planned a weeks work to cut out and mark out an enjoyable trial so please book early to secure your place and reward their effort.
There is no E Route at this Trial due to the nature of the venue.
The entry is capped at 80 due to parking restrictions.

Air Cooled Mono’s - Update
There was insufficient interest in an ACM Class to make it viable. Never say never, but for the time being we will not add this class to our events, with the possible exception of The Keith Marshall Classic Trial.
Side Cars
After some considerable discussion it was agreed that Waltham Chase and local activity in general was not ready to host Side Car classes at events.
We will however continue to have a Side Car option at all Practice Days.
