2026 Awards Presentation

ACU Southern Centre and Waltham Chase Awards Presentation – 7th February.
The Awards Presentation is now just over a week away, so this is an ideal time to send an update for the evening.

Timings
Doors open from 6.00pm

The Food
The buffet will be a selection of Sandwiches, Wholemeal & White with butter. A selection of Sliced Filled Baguettes, Quiche, Sliced Onion Bhajis, Oven Baked Breaded Chicken Breast Goujons, Selection of Oven Baked Chicken on sticks, Curried Vegetable Samosa, Sausage Rolls, Cut Pork Pies, Mini Savoury Eggs plus Garnish.
The Buffet will served in the adjacent room through a joining door. A quiet place where some may wish to chat about motorbikes and Trials rather than have a dance.
Special Dietary Requirements
If you have not already done so can you please advise of any specific requirements. These will be served on separate platters.
The Bar
Open from 6.15pm
Cash or Cards (Minimum Card Spend £3.00)
Last Orders at the bar 10.30pm
The Entertainment
Provided by Uncle Jack, a covers band with a difference. They are live jukebox where you choose the tracks played.
Over 80 classic tracks to select from well-loved bands from the 60's to present day.
Dancing
Don’t leave it to the end of the evening to get up and dance. Enjoy the
evening.” Don’t be the one who says “I wish I had………”
Photos
Andy Withers will be taking the photos on the night and will hopefully capture all award winners.
If you would like a special photo taken please ask Andy before the Presentation. (Me and my best mate, me and the bloke I beat, me and my brother and things like that)
We will plan for a Group Photo, an ACU Winners Photo and a Youth Group.
Raffle
There are super prizes, with any additional raffle donations appreciated.
Tickets will be £1.00 each, rather than the usual £1.00 a strip. It takes far too long to tear up and sort hundred of tickets.
The drawing method will be simplified, to save about 50 people getting up to collect prizes, with some dithering and asking a partner “Do you want the wine dear - or the WD40”
The Awards
I knew there was something else, I’ve just remembered there will be some awards to be handed out as well.
The usual format: Name called, collect award from our Guest Presenter and shake his hand, smile for the camera, and move on.
If you get the wrong Trophy, or no Trophy at all, we will sort after the awards have been presented.
The End
We aim to close the evening at about 11.00pm. The young ones, and possibly me as well will be nodding off by then.

And then it is time to start all over again – The Alton, XHG and Bridport Centre Championship Rounds are now open on Sport80.

Travelling South?
It may be worth checking if there are any road closures on the M3 at Winchester if you are travelling from north of Winchester.
Incorporating the presentation of the 2025 ACU Southern Centre Trials Awards

At The Chamberlayne Suite, Otterbourne Village Hall, Cranbourne Drive, Otterbourne, SO21 2ES.
Doors open from 6.15pm, with the presentation commencing at 7.15pm.
Tickets includes a buffet, live entertainment from Uncle Jack “The original and best live jukebox,” dancing plus a super raffle, are priced at £16.00 each and £5.00 for youth members under sixteen.
There is a licenced bar at the venue.
All award winners will be notified by email, however as we still have two Trials to run some notifications will not be sent until the first week in January – but you do not need to be an award winner to join the celebration.
