Stop Press: The entry is now full for this Trial.

The Waltham Chase Christmas Trial – Club Championship Round 8

Round 8 of the Waltham Chase Club Championship is being held at Hut Hill on Sunday 15th December.

There are several groups where championship class winners will be decided on the last day of the series – good luck if you are chasing the trophies.

Entry is via the Link: https://acu.sport80.com/public/wizard/e/204222

Being the “Christmas Trial,” we try and get into the festive spirit with fancy dress for both riders and Observers.

Let’s see what you can come up with; Prizes for the best adult rider, youth rider and “observer.”

We need just two more Observers for this Trial. All offers of help appreciated with the usual £20.00 paid.

Debs “Food Truck” is confirmed.

Note: Due to parking restrictions the entry is limited to 80 riders, with no parking available for spectators. (There is parking available across the road in a layby or at The Village Hotel, a short walk away – but check restrictions.

The Dick Hoyles Shield

The entry for the “Dick Hoyles”, being held at Hut Hill on New Years Eve, is open via the Sport80 link: https://acu.sport80.com/public/wizard/e/204310

The usual stuff about the Catering Van being sorted, Observers required, entry capped at 80 etc will be published in December.

However, for this Trial the main entry will close on the morning of the 23rd December to enable the score sheets and programme to be printed before the Christmas shutdown.

If you enter after the 23rd, subject to places being available, you will be issued with a Rider Number on the day.

Charity Trial – A Further Update

The fund now stands at £4849.50 – not all of this shows on Just Giving as some was paid direct to Prostate (Uk).

We will publish the receipt at upcoming Trials.

We can say nothing more, except well, well done – truly remarkable.

Observers Comment – Doubling Up.

Apart from Youth E Bike riders, and our Club Photographer, Andy Withers, (Rider no 24), we do not expect riders to attempt a section more than once at each visit. Please do not ask an Observer if it is OK, unless it is in the afternoon, and you are genuinely running late due to a breakdown or other mishap.

There are several reasons; it can hinder the flow of the Trial or give a rider an unfair advantage if the condition of a section deteriorates.

And another thing! Please follow the Direction Arrows and ride in the intended circuit direction. All to do with Risk Assessments – we do not want any “head-on crash Incidents”.

Awards Presentation

Tickets will be available on Sport80 at the end of next week when full details of the evening and the entry link will be published.

Perpetual Awards – A Reminder

It’s that time again! If you have a “Perpetual” Waltham Chase or ACU Southern Centre Trophy or Shield, can you please return it to any upcoming Hut Hill Trial – Thank you.
