Waltham Chase Trials MCC News Update
Practice Trial – 11th July
Due to the cancellation of the Youth Championship Trial scheduled for this Saturday, we have added a Practice day on Saturday 11th July.
We had the date booked and the permit in place, along with a volunteer to run the practice so we decided to set it up.
There will be marked sections and plenty of space for Fre-Style riding.
Entry is via Sport80: https://acu.sport80.com/public/wizard/e/207902
One Event Licences are available for riders not holding an ACU Licence. (Adults £10.00 and Youth Riders£5.00)
Club Coach, Ian Bird will be on hand to offer new members advice.
Debs Food Tuck will be on site, subject to a minimum entry of 40 riders.
The John Wright Trophy Trial – 19th July
The John Wright is being held at Bunny Lane, Sherfield English on Sunday 19th July. This is a superb venue only used twice a year. Our more mature riders will remember it as Bryces Farm.
The entry is capped at 75 riders due to parking restrictions unless there is an early harvest of the neighbouring field.
There is no E class at this Trial due to the nature of the venue.
Catering Van confirmed.
Entry via Sport80 : https://acu.sport80.com/public/wizard/e/207941
Offers to Observe are appreciated.
Please email walthamchasetrials@outlook.com if you can help.
Summer Series Round 3 – Saturday 25th July
We are off to Oakridge Copse for Round 3 of the Summer Series on Saturday 25th July. This is a great venue for our new members and beginners, with nothing too challenging to attempt,

All the usual stuff from me – Offers to Observe appreciated and Debs Food Truck will be there as long as there are about 40 riders entered.

Have a read of the information before you book. It’s all pretty straightforward when you get into it
Its time again to think about booking for Cadno, I can see you are keen as some members are clicking buttons already!

With the trials you must enter for both days on one entry if you are riding both days. Marked Saturday or Sunday
There is no requirement to camp, you can just ride the Trials, or you can camp and not ride.
To camp you mut be a Waltham Chase MCC Member.
For this event we have had to renew our Natural England Camping Permit and get venue specific permission to run the “Rally” from The National Park Authority.
Waltham Chase MCC will again be holding a “Two Trial” weekend, with up to five nights camping, available from Wednesday 12th August at Kewlake Lane, Cadnam, on the edge of the New Forest Country Park.
Not a bad way to spend a few nights away with your mates and bikes.
Tents, caravans, and motorhomes are all welcome.
There are Club trials on Saturday and Sunday commencing at 11.00am.
Saturday: Round 4 of the Summer Series.
Sunday : Round 7 of the Club Championship.
Day riders are very welcome to enter either Trial.
Deb’s Food Truck will be on site on both days, serving early breakfasts and refreshments throughout the day.
There is no need to bring any “cooking kit” if camping overnight.
From 4.00pm on the Saturday there will be a social get together including sporting activities in the camping field.
From 7.15pm we move to “The Barn” for Bingo, a Burger & Sausage BBQ and then live entertainment from Ria and our favourite local band “Random Cow”, with a supporting appearance from a Club members “band” Ambedo, a four-piece band, with vocalist, guitars, bass, and drums. There could even be a Raffle if there is a volunteer to rub it.
If you are not Camping you are very welcome to join us for the evening BBQ and Entertainment. Tickets, priced at £8.00, are available via the Sport80 link below.
To save you “googling” the name: Ambedo is a melancholic, trance-like state in which one becomes fully absorbed in the small, vivid details of the present moment.
I think that is something to do with “Observing,” but I may be wrong.
Camping bookings are via Sport80, with an option for guests to join us just for the Saturday evening BBQ and Entertainment.
