Final Instructions – The John Wright Trophy Trial

Sunday 15th June 2025

Please read these instructions before you travel and check your emails and the Club Website in case there are any last-minute changes before the start.

Can you also check that your details are correct on the attached programme and advise of any errors or class changes. 

“Deb’s Food Truck” is confirmed at this Trial and will be open from 9.30.

Venue Address. Limekiln Lane, (Off Oxenbourne Lane), Ramsdean, GU32 1QN.

• The gates will open at 9.00 am. 

• Please do not park near to the house adjacent to the parking field.

• Before you ride go to the desk and “Sign On”

• If you retire or leave early, please “Sign Out” at the desk.

• There is no “Formal Briefing Session” at the start but please check the notice board for any updates.

• A “Section Map” will be displayed at the start.

• From 10.20 move to the “START HERE” area. The Marshall will advise section to start on.

• The sections open at 10.30 am.

• Start on the section as advised by the Pit Marshall

• There are 3 laps of 12 Sections 

• Please ride the sections only once at each visit, and in number order, to keep the trial flowing and to make sure you do not miss a section. (Exception for Battery Powered Youth Riders)

• The route is “One-Way,” marked with “Orange Arrows.”

• Stop for a break at a convenient time and please support the “Catering Van.

• The sections will close at 3.00 pm. or before if all riders have completed the sections. 

• Please vacate the venue by 3.30pm

• If you are a Waltham Chase MCC Member please remember to provide a printed “Number Card” for your bike, with the riding number and route colour you have been allocated.

• Non-Members (or anyone entering after 8.00am on the 19thJuly), will be issued with a Rider Number in the series 800. A “Number Card” will be issued at “Sign-On”.

• Random scrutineering of bikes will take place in the pit area and at the start.

• It is the responsibility of riders to make sure their machine is safe and all necessary protective clothing is worn. (Boots & Helmets)             

• Youth Riders must always be accompanied by a responsible adult and wear the appropriate protective clothing with arms covered. It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to ensure that youth entrants ride a machine of the correct capacity.                     

• ACU rules TSR22a “Stop Allowed” apply at this Trial.

• There are no male toilets at this venue.

• A defibrillator is located at the “Sign-On Desk.”

• Please bring your own PPE and a personal First Aid Kit.

• First Aiders are identified with a “Green Bib or Tabard”

• Please take all rubbish away with you. There is no rubbish collection point.

• Photographs taken at this event may be used in press articles or for promotional purposes and are available for purchase. 

• If you do not want your image to be used, please advise the COC or photographer.

• Please allow the Photographer – Rider number 24, to go to the front of section queues to give him more time to take photos.

• Results will be sent to all riders by email for checking before being uploaded to the Club Website and ACU Centre FB page.

 

The Club will make a donation from the proceeds of this Trial to Parkinsons UK in memory of Jonn. 

There will also be a voluntary charity collection box and raffle at the venue. Bring some cash for tickets to help support the Charity.
