Grey Day Update

Twenty-three members of the “Grey Team” have had a day out at Hut Hill today, not only did they collect over twenty sacks of rubbish and scrap material but also cut out some new sections and freshened up some of the old favourites.

Thanks to all who turned out today, no names published in case you should not have been out playing today!

We will book another “Grey Day” at Hut Hill in the New Year.

A couple of our younger members also joined in today, collecting several sacks of rubbish between them. Thanks to Leon and Jack.

Prostate Cancer Charity Trial

Hut Hill Saturday 8th November

Planning is now well underway for the Charity Trial being held at Hut Hill on Saturday 8th November.

There are extra activities at this event including the “Bring & Buy” stall and a “Grand Raffle.”

Rember to bring along cash to secure that Bric-a-Brack bargain, a homemade cake or buy raffle tickets. There will be a selection of great prizes, including the usual “Free Rides” and a litre of Vodka kindly donated today

If you have anything you would like to donate, either for the Raffle or the Bring and Buy Stall please bring it along on the day.

For the B&B stall you can either donate items for the Charity or for more expensive goods the Club can sell on your behalf, with a donation of your choice  given to the Charity.

We do ask that you take home anything unsold on the day.

Observers: We need four more volunteer Observers for this Trial. No expenses are being paid as we will be donating the “Observers Fees” to the Charity – that’s a £240.00 boost, but we will be providing all volunteers with lunch from Debs Food Truck.

We are also in need of a couple of volunteers on Friday the 7th to help mark out the sections for the Trial.

If you can help in any way, please contact Steve Greenen on 07789 126823 or by email greenens@virginmedia.com

And I almost forgot, you are very welcome to come along and ride in the Trial

The entry is open via the Sport80 link: https://acu.sport80.com/public/wizard/e/206251 Due to parking limitations , the entry is capped at 80 riders.

If you are planning to ride book ASAP as the entry is filling up.

There is no on the day entry.

Problems entering online or need a “One Event Licence”?

If you do not have ACU Trials Registration, or would like to ride under cover of an “One Event Licence, email walthamchasetrials@outlook.com so that we can sort everything in advance for you, but we do need the class you want to enter  and your bike details on the email.

We can accept the entry up to 6.00pm the day before a trial, subject to places being available.

We do not accept entries “on the day” for a couple of reasons; firstly, we create an event Programme for all Trials so do need the rider information in advance of the Trial, and secondly we like to know who is riding on the day so that we can mark out the Trial to suit the entry..
