Final Instructions – The Dick Hoyles

Wednesday 31st December 2025

Please read these instructions before you travel and check your emails and the Club Website in case there are any last-minute changes before the Trial.

Can you also check that your details are correct on the attached programme and advise of any errors or class changes.

If you change class on the day, please advise all Observers.

Deb’s Food Truck will be open from 9.15.

·        The gates will open at 9.00 am.

·        The Gate Marshall will assist with parking. Due to a full entry some vehicles may be parked in the pit area. Please park neatly and remove any trailers if necessary.

·        When you have parked please Sign On. (Desk at entrance to the woods).

·        You must sign on before you ride.

·        Parking is not available inside the venue for spectators at this Trial due to a full entry. (Parking is available across the road in a layby and in the nearby Village Hotel – but check restrictions.)

·        There is no “Formal Briefing Session” at the start but please check the notice board for any updates.

·        A “Section Map” will be displayed at the start.

·        No riding is permitted before 9.45 or after the Trial has finished.

·        From 9.45 move to the “ENTRY TO COURSE”. Note - this is not in the parking area. Look for the taped area and signs.

·        The Marshal will advise when to start and at which section

·        Ride to your section and “walk the section” ready for 10.00 am start.

·        There are 3 Laps of 13 sections

·        Please ride the sections only once at each visit to keep the trial flowing and so as not to benefit from any section deterioration. (Exception for Battery Powered Youth Riders and their riding minder)

·        The route is “One-Way,” marked with “Yellow Arrows.”

·        The sections will close at 2.30pm. or before if all riders have completed the sections.

·        Please vacate the venue by 3.30pm

·        If you are a Waltham Chase MCC Member please remember to provide a “Number Card” for your bike, with the riding number and route colour you have been allocated. Note: If you entered after 22nd December you will be issued with a rider number and card at sign-on.(This was due to our score sheet printer being closed over Christmas)

·        Please do not ride with your bike lights on. It makes it difficult for Observers to read your number.

·        Your machine may not be examined, but please make sure it is safe, all necessary protective clothing is worn, and the machine ridden is of the correct capacity for the rider.    

·        All machines must have either a working “cut-out button” or “lanyard cutout” fitted. Lanyards must be attached to the rider’s wrist and not wrapped around the handlebars.                                                     

·        ACU rule TSR22A “Stop-Allowed” apply at this Trial.

·        There are no male toilets at this venue.

·        A Defibrillator and First Aid Station are located at “Sign On”

·        First Aiders will be wearing a “Green Tabard”

·        Please take all rubbish away with you. There is no rubbish collection point.

·        Youth Riders must always be accompanied by a responsible adult and wear the appropriate protective clothing. Arms must be always covered when riding.

·        Photographs taken at this event may be used in press articles or for promotional purposes and are available for purchase. If you do not want your image to be used, please advise the COC or photographer.

·        Please allow the Photographer (Rider Number 24) to go to the front of the queues so as to give him time to take photos if riding at this Trial.

·        Results will be sent to all riders by email for checking before being uploaded to the Club Website.

·        The use of Power Washers is not permitted.

·        A reminder that Helmet Cameras are not permitted at any ACU Trials.

As per ACU regulation ACU TSR12: Unless a helmet is manufactured with the camera as an intrinsic part, helmet cameras (including the helmet camera brackets) and cameras attached to the body are prohibited.

Cameras attached to a machine are permitted.

 

 

Expert Class

An Expert “A” route will not be provided for events where there are less than 5          riders in the class, or when not practical to lay out Expert Sections at a venue.

Experts are to ride the B route but will accrue points in the Expert group for any Championship.
